Destroy All Humans: 7 Best Cheats

Destroy All Humans is a chaotic classic, and Crypto’s job can be made easier by activating a few select cheat codes.
Destroy All Humans will be remembered by many as a classic title of the PS2/Xbox generation. It went on to spawn multiple sequels and a fresh remake in 2020, the latter of which will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this year. It is a game full of humor, has lots of Easter eggs, and a variety of sci-fi nods. THQ Nordic has since teased that Destroy All Humans 2 will see a remaster.
The open-world action-adventure game sees you play the role of Crypto the alien clone. Your mission is to harvest human brains to acquire Furon DNA and prevent Crypto’s race from going extinct.
Whilst the game was visually impressive and handled well, one of its key components was the ability to use cheats. The PS2-era being a high point for cheats enabled players to make their gameplay of Destroy All Humans all the more simple.
When activating a cheat code, a player will have to enter the game’s menu and hold down the L2 button on a PS2 controller. On an Xbox controller, hold down LT to accomplish the same thing.
Disclaimer: If entering the upcoming codes on the original Xbox, the White and Black buttons should be selected instead of LB and RB respectively.
The Upgrades cheat has a twist to it since it can only be activated on the Mothership. This is due to it having the same cheat code as the Invincibility cheat.
The upgrade cheat enables you to unlock upgrades for all of your weapons. These will be available to be acquired from Pox’s lab. If you’re looking for that quick leg up in the game and to dominate, it’s always handy to have all of your options there for you.

The mind control meter enables you to control other people’s thoughts. Crypto can hypnotize the humans in the game and make them do his bidding. There’s also the power to erase memories and to knock people unconscious.
Being able to knock people unconscious and hypnotize them is useful to avoid being spotted during the game. Before activating the cheat, however, it is important that the mind control meter is above zero. Being able to read people’s minds an unlimited amount is useful for gathering information throughout the game.

Xbox 360/One Cheat Code: RB, LB, Y, Right, LB, Y
The Aware Like A Fox cheat enables the maximum alert meter. If you are wanting some chaos in your game then this is the way to go about it. Having a maximum alert level will send a variety of weaponry your way, but you can have a great time if you have unlimited ammo and invincibility activated.

One of the most frustrating parts in any game is running out of ammo, but that can be circumvented in Destroy All Humans by using a cheat. The disintegrator ray and its upgrades which add new weapon elements require ammo, which is found throughout the game and should not be wasted.
However, by activating this cheat, waste becomes a thing of the past. This cheat is even better once you have a few upgrades under your belt and can really wreck shop on those around you.

Xbox 360/One Cheat Code: Left, Y, LB, Right, RB, X
This code must be activated on the Mothership. The Mmm…Brains! cheat provides a player with an increase in DNA. Furon DNA is essential to Crypto’s race and must be collected to complete the game.
Vast amounts of DNA can be collected during gameplay, but the more DNA you have, the more upgrades you can obtain. It is used as currency in Pox’s lab where Crypto can buy weapons and mental ability upgrades. Having this cheat gives you a step up in progressing through the game easier with more power early on.

If the army or other enemies are bothering you and your alert level is reaching its max, the Nobody Loves You cheat is a great way to relax things in the game. Once the cheat is activated, the alert level resets to the default and will stop anyone chasing or firing at you.

This is a great cheat if you need a breather but don’t want to break the game in your favor. It also helps prevent things from becoming too chaotic because things can go from 0 to 100 quite quickly as Destroy All Humans progresses.

Invincibility in video games will always come highly on a cheat code list. Nothing is worse than dying and having to go through missions over and over again or some awful cutscene. Destroy All Humans can be tedious in its early stages, so having invincibility completely changes how you play the game from a survival point of view.
The cheat does what it says on the tin and prevents Crypto from taking damage from the US army firing on him. This prevents any deaths and allows you to breeze through the game.
