Genesis G80 Revealed
In a recent interview, Genesis chief executive officer Jim Hall explained the brand’s approach to customer service. Personal Assistants – people recruited from retail and hospitality backgrounds – will oversee the customer experience. Genesis’ G90 sedan gets a big glow-up
Hyundai’s luxury subsidiary Genesis Motor has gotten a major makeover. It is adding modern styling and a more upscale cabin to its flagship G90 sedan. Let’s take a look at some of its main advantages and weaknesses.
Genesis’ G80 Electric is a fully battery-powered variant
The fully-electric variant of the Genesis G80 will make 364 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The new model will also sprint to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. The Electrified G80 will have a range of 311 miles, according to NEDC estimates. While there is no word on battery capacity, the G80 will likely have a shorter range than the gas-powered version.
Genesis cars are manufactured in Germany, United States, and South Korea
Unlike other luxury automakers, Genesis has not focused on the Asian market in its development of new models. Instead, the automaker has focused on the United States, Middle East, and China. It is aiming to deliver six new models before 2020. The G90 and G80 have already been launched, and the G70 is due to follow. These cars are slated to bring modern luxury to the masses. Schreyer discusses the concept of modern luxury and the importance of creating a car that appeals to younger drivers.
