Ghana U-20 Vs USA U-20
Despite the fact that the United States Women’s National Team hasn’t had a lot of success over the past couple of years, they are still a talented team and have the potential to win their next international match against the Ghana U-20 team. The match will be held on August 25th and will be the first ever game between the two teams.
Ghana vs United States matchup
During the last U-20 World Cup in 2013, the USA was knocked out of the tournament in the round of 16. But if the U20’s win against Ghana, they will advance to the knockout stages.
The United States is the defending champion of the U-20 Women’s World Cup. It’s also the only country to win all three levels of the tournament. It has only lost six games in regulation during nine previous tournaments.
The U20’s performed surprisingly well defensively, though they haven’t produced a lot of goals. They have been rewarded with a lot of set pieces. The U20’s haven’t converted any of them in this tournament.
They did have a goal in the game, though. It came from Ally Sentnor. It was the first international goal scored at the U-20 level. It came after a good turnover by the US midfield.
The USA didn’t have a lot of chances in the second half. But they did string together a few good ones. They also had a few critical saves by goalkeeper Cody Cropper. But that’s not enough.

Despite being a perennial force at U-20 level, USA has not made it to the knockout stage in any of the tournament’s past three editions. In fact, they’re in danger of missing the knockout phase for a second straight time. They will face a strong Japan side on Wednesday.
The two-time defending champions are looking to go toe-to-toe with a highly-experienced Japanese team. Neither team has won by more than two goals in any of their previous matches. The United States will need to find a way to beat Japan by two goals on Wednesday to secure a spot in the knockouts.
Both sides are preparing for this tournament with high intensity and a tactical approach. Both sides have played friendlies against European clubs, and both have been strong preparations. However, Ghana has never advanced beyond the group stage.
The Black Princesses of Ghana have a history of qualifying for the World Cup in successive years. Their record in group play includes a 1-1 draw against Germany, a 2-0 win over Nigeria, and a 1-0 defeat against China PR.

Neither team played particularly well in the first half of this match. Ghana’s youth team was able to put pressure on the United States midfield, but the U.S. couldn’t create many opportunities.
In the second half, the U.S. pushed for an early goal, and they came close. But, the team looked sluggish and sloppy defensively. And it was not until the match was heading for extra time that they really showed their strength.
The Under-20 World Cup quarterfinal has seen a number of impressive goals. One of them, however, has been the most noteworthy.
The other is the United States’ 1-1 draw against Ghana. The United States U20s haven’t had much to show offensively. They haven’t scored many of their own chances, and they’ve failed to take advantage of their own opportunities. They’re tied in their fair play tiebreaker.
But, the smallest tidbit of the match is that Ghana’s young guns performed better than the team from France. That’s a pretty good stat, but it’s hard to figure out if it was the actual goal or the slick passing play that resulted in the goal.
